This reusable shopping bag used to be a woven vinyl feed bag and a cereal box. It was easy to make, and it’s relaxing to sew a project where wonky seams just don’t matter. Since the seams didn’t need to be finished, I was able to do the whole project on my favorite machine. It’s a Singer 15-90, manufactured just after WWII. It came in one color – black – and it does one stitch – straight. It does that one stitch really, really well, though, and it’s so cute I have to continually fight an urge to name it.
